Keynote lectures

There will be plenary lectures providing a synthesizing view of selected areas of global health research. Each plenary lecture will be of 40 minutes duration followed by 5 minutes of questions and discussion.

Contributed presentations

Researchers, academics and other professionals are invited to submit abstracts of papers. The accepted abstracts will be included in the Abstract Book, which will be provided to all conference participants. Abstract must be submitted by May 15, 2010. Please note that submission of the abstract must be preceded by payment of a registration fee.
Conference participants may indicate their preference for an oral or poster presentation on their registration form, however the Scientific Committee will make the final decision and notify the authors by June 1, 2010. Every participant may present one paper of which he/she is a first author, and some others of which is a second or further author. Each oral presentation will be scheduled for 12 minutes with additional 3 minutes for questions and discussion.
Posters will be displayed in the foyer throughout the duration of the conference (Monday- Thursday). The display area for a poster is 90 cm wide and 110 cm high providing sufficient space to present scientific results. The presenting author is required to attend during the poster sessions to discuss the work presented and to answer questions. Handouts of the poster are often useful and appreciated by persons interested in the poster.

Publication

The Conference Organizers have plans to publish conference papers. Detailed information on publication-related matters will be given in the next communication.
