All roads lead to Poznań!
Poznań lies on the long line running from Paris to Moscow, 300 km away from Warsaw (the capital of Poland), 170 km from the western border, 220 km from the Baltic Sea (Kołobrzeg) and 460 km away from Cracow.
At the Ławica Airport there are regular direct flights from:
- Warsaw (WAW), Frankfurt (FRA) and Munich (MUC) operated by Polish Airline LOT and Lufthansa;
- Copenhagen (CPH) operated by Scandinavian Airlines SAS;
- London-Stansted (STN), Liverpool (LPL), Barcelona-Girona (GRO), Bristol (BRS) and Edinburgh (EDI) operated by Ryanair;
- London-Luton (LTN), Dortmund (DTM), Doncaster-Sheffield (DSA), Stockholm-Vasteras (VST), Glasgow-Prestwick (PIK) and Oslo-Torp (TRF), Rome-Fiumicino (FCO), Milano (BGY) and Bourgas (BOJ) operated by Wizzair.
You can also choose to fly to Warsaw Frederik Chopin International Airport and then take a train to Poznań.

Ławica Airport is located 7 km from the city centre, in the vicinity of the route leading directly to the major city points and next to the road out of Poznań to Berlin and Warsaw. Passengers have air - conditioned, spacious arrival and departure halls at their disposal as well as travel agencies, an elegant restaurant, bars, banks, shops, internet cafe, car rental points and viewing area.
It is possible to get to the city centre from the airport using taxi or public transport buses. TAXI rank is located next to the airport, it is advisable however, to call RADIO TAXI.

- “L” fast bus: Port Lotniczy Ławica (Airport) - Dworzec Główny (Central Railway Station) the ticket price doubles and one can take one piece of luggage free of charge;
- Line 59: Port Lotniczy Ławica (Airport) - Bałtyk (Rondo Kaponiera)
- Line 48: Port Lotniczy Ławica (Wyszęborska stop) - Bałtyk (Rondo Kaponiera)
Bus ticket can be purchased in kiosks in the Hall of the airport
Poznań has direct train connections with major European cities, such as Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt-am-Main, Munich, Nuremberg, Cologne, Amsterdam, Bazeilles, Prague, Kiev, Moscow, Odessa, Minsk, St. Petersburg, Riga. Trains from Warsaw Central Railway Station (Warszawa Centralna) to Poznań Main Railway Station (Poznań Główny) departure from platform 3 (peron 3). Tickets can be purchased in ticket offices at the Railway Station. The payment can be done with cash in Polish Złoty (PLN) or credit card. Tickets can be also purchased online: https://bilet.intercity.pl Please remember to print your ticket purchase confirmation – you will need to present that confirmation to the ticket inspector on board.
The Poznań Main Railway Station (Poznań Główny) is located in the city centre, just next to the Poznań International Fair venue (Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie). It is composed of two buildings: the Main Hall (Hala Główna) and the West Railway Station (Dworzec Zachodni) connected by a subway. In the Main Hall there are kiosks, shops, fast food restaurants, ATM and Glob-Tour tourist information.
Passengers can get to the city by tram or bus - the nearest tram stop is next to the West Railway Station. Trams no. 5, 8, 14 and 18 leave the stop. In the vicinity of the Main Hall exit there is a public bus stop for lines 51, 68 and 76. At night, also night buses approach the stop. To get to the tram stop, passengers should use stairs or a lift leading to the Railway Bridge (Most Dworcowy). There, passengers can use trams no. 6, 10, 11 and 12.
TAXI ranks are located next to the Main Hall and the West Railway Station exit. It is advisable, however, to call RADIO TAXI in a point located in the Main Hall.

The PKS Station (Bus Transport Company) is located to the east of Poznań Główny, in ul. Towarowa 17/19, and takes about ten minutes walking to reach from there. If you're travelling within Poland, then buses from here are useful for reaching destinations within Wielkopolska and a little further beyond. Anything further would make for a long journey and a train would make more sense. The PKS provides both domestic and international transport services. Apart from ticket offices, kiosks, bar and PKS information point also travel agencies selling tickets for international routes are located in the bus station hall. Next to the station, there are fast food restaurants, ATM, a bookshop and a cake shop. In front of the station there is a tram stop for lines no. 6, 10, 11 and 12.

Poznań is located at the crossroads of important international routes: E-30 - Berlin-Warsaw-Moscow and E-261 - Gdańsk-Wrocław-Prague.
You can get to Poznań driving A2 motorway (access from the west direction: from Nowy Tomyśl - 108 km from Świecko, where national route no. 2 is connected with the motorway to Warsaw - a charge is payable for using it; access from the east direction: from Konin, Modła road junction), national routes no. 92, no. 5 (east - west direction) and no. 11 (north - south).
The city centre is covered by the Parking Zone. Fare is collected for each vehicle parked within the zone. Drivers pay the parking fee in parking meters located along streets in the city centre. The Parking Zone borders are marked with B-39 road sign. Drivers coming to the city are recommended to leave their cars in guarded car parks and specially prepared buffer car parking placed around the Parking Zone.
